Qualified personal trainer of 6 years, Georgie Way, has worked with sports teams, injured clients, groups and individuals of all ages. Her holistic approach is tailored to each individual's needs. Including, boxing, stretch, pilates and yoga.

As a former athlete, qualified personal trainer of 8 years, and having more recently completed a Diploma in Yoga, my style of training would best be described as holistic. I have learnt over the years that maintaining the perfect image, or the strong looking physique, or the 8 pack of abs isn't all there is to life. Life is about balance. Exercise and health and maintaining a strong body and mind that is capable of enduring many things, is all part of that balance. Having noticeable biceps doesn't necessarily make you happy... Rock hard abs isn't necessarily life fulfilling… Focusing on your body alone will compromise other important areas of your life.

I recognise and encourage the importance of maintaining a certain level of fitness, while also addressing the relevance of feeling good about your individual strengths as well as your weaknesses. Taking care of and addressing the mental and emotional needs of each individual as well as their physical needs, goals and desires, I've found to be a critical component throughout my work as a pt and many years training as an athlete. It is important to maintain good health mentally and physically, as they often come hand in hand.

As a trainer, I pay attention to the whole person. I am interested in seeing the bigger picture. People often book in a session with me to improve on their outside physical image, but the internal health of a person is what interests me most, and no doubt where amazing change begins from. We are all in a constant state of change, and each state of change brings about many different needs for the individual. I have learnt to observe and address each client's needs as they change or stay the same. Personal training is about a lot more than looking a certain way, just like life.

I believe that maintaining good mental, physical, and emotional health is vital. I also believe in cultivating meaningful relationships, as well as learning from others, and treating others well. Balancing all of these things is hard work, but if it's one thing I've learnt through my career and life so far, is that balance is by no means easy, but a great and rewarding goal to work towards.
